The Cowboy Rides Again
Morgan Culbertson is one of those unique artists that feels like he isn’t of our time. At just 18 years old he signed with Tower Music Inc in Nashville and now at 19 is in the middle of creating his debut album.
From the tiny town of Nickelsville, VA (which also happens to be the star of one of his upcoming songs) Morgan is the definition of a classic country boy. “I grew up on a farm with my family, my brothers and my parents. I played basketball in high school, have a truck and love my family dearly. I started playing the guitar when I was just a little sucker at the age of 7 but didn’t start singing till right at two years ago when I meet a girl.”
To Say he is an old soul would be an understatement. Morgan’s voice possesses the unique ability to sound truly timeless. “I love writing and singing country music. I really love when a song has a purpose and tells a story. Them old time country singers had it right, I really look up to Don Williams and George Jones and a I hope to follow in their footsteps. But if that ain’t the good lords will I’ll be happy playing my old six string on the back porch.”
Morgan has been both recording and preforming all throughout 2023, appearing at the Russel County Fair for two nights with an attendance of over 30,000 and ridding bulls in the process. His upcoming album is already garnering attention and interest in Nashville among industry insiders and experts. It looks like 2024 is shaping up to be Morgan’s year on record, on radio and on the road.
